The time is 1969, the war is in Vietnam. Kyle is a music major looking for meaning and direction in his life, and maybe a nice girl to date. He thinks he's got the date when Hannah enters his music practice room at the university, even though she carries an odd contraption called a Ouija Board and entices him to meet a spirit named Gladys. He doesn't realize that this encounter will be the start of a life-long journey where he connects with those on the other side and that this brief moment will forever change the direction of his life. Kyle, unfortunately, doesn't get the girl but he is introduced to so much more.
A Breath Away is the story of Kyle's adventure. At its simplest, it is the story of a young man's journey into and with the spiritual world. It is a love story, as this young college student learns to love himself and later, to deepen his love with his wife and to fully feel and explore the meanings of love with others. As he grows in his ability to connect with Spirit, Kyle discovers that love is the key and the true bridge to connecting with the other side.
