Forget Monday Night
Football, ESPN's college game day and Sunday afternoons with the NFL.
Have we got a team for you!
You will find the Bux-Mont Pop Warner Challenger Team
in suburban Philadelphia
practicing on Sunday afternoons with incomparable joy and enthusiasm.
This Pop Warner league team is special. More special than their amazing
runs with their buddies, more fantastic than their smooth end-zone dances after touchdowns. They demonstrate what sport is ultimately all
about - the pure joy of playing.
The Bux-Mont Challenger Team's members are boys and girls who have a
physical or mental disability. Between the ages of five and 16, these
team members have Down Syndrome, or Autism, or another disability. One team member plays the game in his wheelchair. They are paired with a
"buddy" from the North Penn High School Football team, who assists
them as they execute their game plan!
On December 7, this team of athletes competed in their greatest challenge
yet. They participated in the Pop Warner Super Bowl at Disney
World's Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.
They proudly represented the Greater Philadelphia Region, as so many
great Bux-Mont Pop Warner football teams have done in the past.
The parents and friends of this inspirational team are looking to
build the league next year and add another team so that more children can
participate.
Hawkins + Company is supporting their efforts and reaching out to friends and
companies to join in as well.
Why? Not only because we love football - which we do - but because every
child who wants to play this great game should have all the opportunity they
deserve.
Hawkins + Company invites you to learn more about the team and how you
can support their outstanding effort. Sponsorship and donation
information can be obtained by calling our office at (215) 885-5355 or by
