  Breakfasts With Buster Author on Good Morning, MarylandValerie Wood and Megan Pringle, Good Morning, Maryland

     Val Wood, Author of Breakfasts With Buster, was invited to join host Megan Pringle on Baltimore's morning television show Good Morning, Maryland on November 10.  Val talked to viewers about Buster and his story and why she wrote her book about using holistic health care for Buster's bone cancer.

 100 Ranger Greats now in bookstores

     It's official.  The new book by authors Russ Cohen, John Halligan and Adam Raider that profiles the top 100 players ever to wear the blue and red of the New York Rangers is now in bookstores. 

   Former members of the Rangers are joining the authors for book signings of 
100 Ranger Greats at stores in the United States and Canada, and early reviews of the book are giving it high ratings.  With 200 photos to accompany the profiles, the book is for Rangers fans of all ages.  The promotion schedule and more information is here.


  Breakfasts With Buster Signing at Natural Pet Expo

     Valerie Wood will be at the 6th Annual Natural Pet Expo, on September 27 in Philadelphia for a special appearance and book signing.  The Natural Pet Expo is a day-long street fair featuring more than 60 vendors with products and services to promote natural and holistic wellness for pets.  Valerie has been invited to serve as a Celebrity Judge for the Pet Star Challenge and will be joining in the fun to award prizes to the best pets in the parade.

Kyle Daniel Kerpan Foundation: Go For the Gold ... Fight Childhood Cancer  Kyle Daniel Kerpan Foundation to Honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

     The Kyle Daniel Kerpan Foundation will honor Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by presenting a special event titled, "Go for the Gold ... Fight Childhood Cancer."  The public is invited to the event on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2 PM until 5 PM at the Fellowship House in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.  There will be food and games for kids, with a special commemorative balloon lift of gold balloons in honor and memory of the children who battle cancer.

 Author Valerie J. Wood to Support Maryland SPCA

     Valerie J. Wood, Author of the new book,
Breakfasts with Buster, will be featured at a special book signing as part of the 1st Annual Ride for the Animals to benefit the Maryland SPCA.  To be held on August 30, 2009 in Baltimore, the event will raise funds to help the SPCA further their work on behalf of homeless and stray pets.

     Valerie will be signing books at the Harley-Davidson/Buell Store of Baltimore, 8845 Pulaski Highway, Baltimore, MD 21237 from 10 AM until 1 PM.  She will be donating $5.00 from each book sold to the SPCA, and to add further support, will be donating a portion of the proceeds of all sales of the book through her website at

     "May is National Brain Tumor Awareness Month, and many of us know - or at least, know of - someone who's been afflicted: U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy and his widely publicized battle with the disease, for example.

     Kyle Kerpan's struggle played out minus public fancare.  The Lafayette Hill boy began fighting brain tumors and related disease symptoms when he was 2."

 Charlie Gracie Featured in Philly Row Home Magazine

     (May, 2009)  He's played in some of the best known venues around the world and now Philly music legend Charlie Gracie will be featured in a magazine that focuses on the neighborhoods of his hometown.
  Philly Row Home Magazine's most recent issue includes a story about the Dean of Philly Rockers, complete with photos from his recent induction into the Philly Walk of Fame in the fall of 2008.  Charlie's bronze plaque was added to South Broad Street along with those of Billy Paul, Dee Dee Sharp, Tammi Terrell and Clifford Brown.
