Elite Camp Services develops and operates youth sports instruction camps in New Jersey. Based in Toms River, the firm was formed in 2007 by Shawn Kennish, former Director of Internal Football Operations at Rutgers University. The mission of Elite Camp Services is to provide outstanding sports instruction to young athletes and to create opportunities for the athletes to develop and show their ability.
In 2008, Elite will offer two camps and one talent showcase. The Shore's Best Football Camp, the Brian Leonard Football Camp and the Darren Daulton Talent Showcase will be available for young athletes ranging from grade one through 12.
Challenge: Hawkins + Company is supporting the new firm with marketing and public relations services, preparing and distributing media materials, securing and managing media interviews for key camp personnel and providing overall marketing strategy consulting.
Building Blocks: The full range of media outreach is being utilized including writing media materials, pitching placement of stories and interviews and managing the email marketing efforts.
Results: The camps and key persons - Brian Leonard, starting Fullback for the St. Louis Rams and Darren Daulton, former MLB All-Star with the Phillies - are attracting media interest. Both radio and print media interviews have increased interest in the camps and the talent showcase.
