TOMS RIVER, NJ - (April 23, 2008) - One athlete made his name in Major League Baseball as a three-time all star. One athlete wowed college football fans with his speed and moves before his talent took him to the NFL. Now each will use their skills and experience as they host a sports instruction camp to teach young athletes how to excel as they have.
Former Phillies catcher Darren Dutch Daulton and St. Louis Rams Fullback Brian Leonard have announced
the opening of registration for the youth sports camps that bear their name. In partnership with Toms River-based Elite
Camp Services, the Darren Daulton Baseball Camp will take place at Stockton
State College in

Daulton, a three-time All-Star who played with the Phillies for 14 years and then retired from the Florida Marlins after winning a World Series Championship in 1997, will open his camp on Sunday, August 3, 2008. Three and one-half days of instruction will follow, with special guest instructors that include Larry Christenson, starting pitcher for the 1980 World Champion Phillies. Phillies Left Fielder Pat Burrell and others from professional baseball have been invited to camp to share their experiences with the campers.Leonard was an All-American and record-holder as a member of
the Rutgers University Scarlet Knights where he contributed to the team’s 11
wins in 2006, tying a school record and assisting
