Glenside, PA firm to promote Darren Daulton Enterprises and Gray Matters, Inc.

GLENSIDE, PA – (April 17, 2007) -  Laurie Hawkins, President of Hawkins + Company, has announced the signing of Darren Daulton and Darren Daulton Enterprises as a new client.  Darren Daulton, Philadelphia Phillies

Hawkins + Company will provide marketing and public relations services to the former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star catcher, specifically to develop and promote a new website and merchandise sales and to support the publication of his book, "If They Only Knew."

Hawkins + Company will also be providing nonprofit development and marketing services to the Phoenix, Arizona based Gray Matters. Gray Matters, found on the web at
www.graymatters.info will be forming as a nonprofit organization to raise funds to increase public awareness of brain cancer and to support brain tumor survivors with needed services.  Founder Lanette Veres is an eight-year brain tumor survivor.

Hawkins + Company provides marketing, communications and business development services to corporate, nonprofit and individual clients with a philosophy of providing “building blocks for building business.” The firm’s founder and President, Laurie Hawkins, previously served as President of Collage Communications.  She was a business manager and counsel for the late Tug McGraw, Phillies and New York Mets relief pitcher, as well as the literary agent for his autobiography, “Ya Gotta Believe.”  In 2003, after his diagnosis with brain cancer, she joined with McGraw to co-found the Tug McGraw Foundation, the nonprofit organization that bears his name. Hawkins, an attorney, served as President of the group before returning to Hawkins + Company full-time in October, 2006.
