Gail Maria Forrest is the creator of the blog, gonepausal, a humorous look at menopause and the life of a menopausal woman. She is currently writing a book by the same name.

Gail created goneapausal in 2007 to reach an audience of 27 million American women who are experiencing the symptoms of menopause every year with her message that this major life change has its funny side too.

Gonepausal is a celebration of women as they encounter the issues of growing older and learn to embrace living. It is looking at life and knowing that you can't buy your way back to 40 and no amount of money is going to buy you around menopause. Accept it, live it and love it!

Her growing audience of women - and men as well - are treated to her wry take on a variety of topics that include dating, shopping, relationships with mom and dad, travel and the weather (and the evil weather forecasters who find joy in announcing impending storms!)

Gail is a self-employed art dealer. She began her business, Art Services, in 1991 and has grown it to include a broad, national client base. She educates her clients on building their collections, as well as finding specific art work for private, corporate and museum collections. She is the former Director of the Peter Miller Gallery in Chicago and the Dart Gallery, also in Chicago.

When she isn't writing or finding exquisite art for her clients, Gails shows horses. She has been involved with show horses for 34 years and is active in the hunter and jumper wold as she competes around the United States.
